‘Drosophila’ large flightless fruit flies are a great feeder insect for reptiles and invertebrates such as dart frogs, mantis, spiders and chameleons. Being flightless means no escapees when you open your enclosure and also easier for your pet to catch.
These are sold as a culture and can arrive at various stages through the culture’s lifespan.
Your culture should be stored at around 20 degrees and left for several weeks to see more flies keep appearing as the casters continue to hatch.
Maturity and size of live foods will vary from picture shown.
